The Capacity Development Resource Center (CDRC) has commenced a two-day seminar on “Resolution of Audit Issues and Disbursement” for officials of Asian Development Bank (ADB) assisted projects, particularly from energy sector projects. The program began on Baishak 3, 2083 (16 April 2026) in Pokhara. This seminar focuses on strengthening the capacity of officials involved in the financial management of energy projects financed by the ADB, particularly within the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The program covers ADB financial management policies, audit requirements, and the consequences of delayed or poor audit submissions. It also includes a review of audit observations to identify recurring issues, agree on corrective actions, and establish governance mechanisms for effective audit resolution. Representatives from ADB and thematic experts participated in the program as resource persons. A total of 25 participants attended the seminar.
