The third batch of B2- Course (Procurement of works & Consultancy services) under Capacity Development and Professionalization (CDP) started physically from September 1, 2021. The opening ceremony of the training program was attended by nominated officers from various government agencies with all necessary precautions and safety guidelines issued by the Government of Nepal.
In the opening ceremony, GDMLG Head, Senior Director of Studies Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel was present as chief guest of the program. The National Consultant of ITCT-ILO Mr. Sita Ram Kandel was also present in the opening ceremony. The coordinators of the program Mr. Gobinda Bhandari and Ms. Anjali Verma welcomed the participants and started the formal program.
With his welcome note and, short introduction to program, Mr. Sigdel highlighted the objectives of the programme, sessions, durations and process adopted by the training programme. He also requested for active participations and successful completion of course enhancing their performance in the procurement management.
He also explicates the role of NASC to provide the necessary training for the employees of the Government of Nepal and Public Enterprises. He expected that this Training on Procurement of Works and Consultancy Services for KASs Officials will able in improving governance in spending public resources with professional practice and the provisions of the Regulatory frameworks of Nepal and international standards from development partners.
The training program on the Procurement of Works & Consultancy Services for four Key Sector Agencies (KSA) officials is based on the “Training Needs” initiated by the PPMO and implemented by the International Training Center (ITC) of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Nepal Administrative Staff College.
The course is structured on 11 working-days, where 3 sessions per day will be presented, till September 16, 2021.
