44th Senior Executive Development Programme (SEDP) for the Class-I officers of the Government of Nepal has started from today in Kailash Hall. The opening ceremony of the program was graced by the Executive Director of NASC Dr Rajan Khanal, Deputy Executive Director Mr Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Senior Director of Studies Mr Ananda Raj Dhakal and Mr Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, and other NASC faculties.
Senior Director of Studies and Public Service Training Department (PSTD) Head Mr Tulasi Sharan Sigdel welcomed the participants of the programme and provided a synopsis of the competency-based course and clarified its significance for strengthening the leadership skills of the senior executives for developing a transformational leader.
Executive Director Dr Khanal, remembering his old days as a participant in a past edition of the same programme in the same hall a few years back, pointed out that SEDP is an effective platform for active participation in broadening the knowledge horizon of Senior Executives. He emphasized the various participatory methodologies, which will be applied by NASC to deliver the desired objectives in a pragmatic manner. He concluded by encouraging the Senior Executives to think innovatively and transform themselves as competent change agents.
Director of Studies and Centre for In-service Training (CIsT) Chief Mr Binod Kumar Bista hosted the opening ceremony which was followed by the commencement of the sessions from the leadership module.
44th Senior Executive Development Programme aims at enhancing the core competencies of the Senior Executives to develop them as transformational leaders and integrity builders with strategic thinking and policy management skills required to strengthen the governance system and improve public service delivery.
Twenty-five participants, nominated from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, will involve in the six-month extensive training programme, which will conclude on 2079 Chaitra 02.
Mr Binod Kumar Bista, Ms Shailaja Upadhyaya and Mr Bipin Ojha are in the training management team.
