Centre for Organization Development (COD), Management Learning Group (MLG) of the Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) has commenced a 7-day Managerial and Administrative Excellence Programme for the Officials of Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management. The main aim of the program is to develop managerial and administrative competencies of the officials of NATHM to excel performance in their work setting. The opening ceremony was held on Baishak 12, 2081 at Kailash Hall, Sampada Sadan.
Mr. Binod Kumar Bista, Senior Director of Studies and Department head of Management Learning Group chaired the opening event. Ms. Anita Poudel, Center chief of COD and Director of Studies, welcomed the participants and highlighted the training course and its modality. She emphasized the importance of the program in respect to the managerial and administrative competency of officials of NATHM. Mr. Bista, in his opening remarks, expressed commitment of NASC to make training program more effective and relevant to the nature of NATHM. He further expressed the importance of learning psychology and adult learning principles connecting to the deep rooted knowledge and experience of participants. He also highlighted the objectives of the course and expressed his expectation from participants to make program constructive and more interactive. In this foundation, he requested all the training participants for their active participation in learning activities. The coordinators for the training program are Mr. Shailendra Prasad Bhatt and Ms. Chandni Kayastha. The coordinators also welcomed all the participants in the training and highlighted the course requirements along with the basic norms of the training.
