Closing Ceremony of 3 days Training on Negotiation Skills

The 3 days training on ‘Negotiation Skills’ concluded today (Ashad 20, 2080) with the formal closing ceremony. The event was chaired by the Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Rajan Khanal. The program was also marked by the presence of the Head of the department, Management Learning Group, Mr. Binod Kumar Bista and, Centre for Organization Development, Mr. Uttam Acharya. Mr. Pramod Niroula, the host of the event welcomed Ms. Man Maya Rana Magar, on behalf of the participants to express her critical remarks on the training. She mentioned that she is thankful enough to NASC for organizing negotiation skills training for public officials as she believes that public servants have to handle the grievances of citizens daily and these skills will help them to tackle those situations. She also appreciated the training management of NASC for being rigorous, punctual, and systematic.

Mr. Bista expressed his gratitude towards trainee officials for participating in the training with genuine learning attitudes. He shared that learning is life long process and these 3 days training is a reinforcement to many such learnings in life. He further added that training is a lab where we test our learning and skills but the actual implementation of the learned skills is supposed to be retested in the workplace by overcoming real-time challenges. After his notes, participants were felicitated with the completion certificate by Executive Director Dr. Rajan Khanal. Dr. Khanal in his closing remarks mentioned that the enhancement of acquired knowledge depends upon an individual thus he requested participants to imply all the learnings back to their organization as much as possible. He further shared that negotiation helps in resolving and stabilizing the conflict and it is essential in a nation like ours where public participants are given utmost preference. He concluded his remarks by congratulating all the participants and wishing them better future endeavors.
