Training Programme on Financial Management for Account Officers of Nepal Agriculture Research Institute (NARI) ends on Friday

The certification and closing ceremony of “Training Programme on Financial Management for Account Officers of Nepal Agriculture Research Institute (NARI)” that started from 23^rd Mangsir 2078 was held on 2^nd Poush 2078. The event was chaired by Executive Director of NASC Dr. Rajan Khanal. Director of Studies as well as Centre Chief of Centre for Financial Management Mr. Sundar Shrestha was also present in the closing ceremony along with other NASC Officials. Twenty Account Officers from NARI completed the training programme. The closing and certification program was organized at Koshi Hall at NASC and hosted by Deputy Director of Studies Mr. Gobinda Bhandari.

On behalf of all the training participants, Mr. Madhu Sudhan Bhattarai thanked NASC and NARI for organizing the training programme. He shared his reflection of learnings from the 7 days of training. He appreciated the training content and overall management of the programme. Furthermore, he concluded by emphasizing that the training has sharpened his accounting and financial skills, and will apply these skills to solve problems at NARI.

Centre Chief of Centre for Financial Management Mr. Sundar Shrestha congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the training programme and emphasized all the participants to implement updated knowledge and skills to solve problems at the workplace. Mr. Shrestha stressed all the participants to be change agents and implement financial control mechanisms at NARI.

The chair of the program, Dr. Khanal handed over the certificates to the participants and congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the training programme. Dr. Khanal highlighted the importance of continuous learning for the accounting and finance practitioners as the financial management field is ever-evolving due to advancements in ICT. He further stressed that NASC has inculcated a learning mindset among the participants and it is now the sole responsibility of the participants to broaden their knowledge base beyond this training programme. Dr. Khanal put his closing remarks by sharing a quote, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear”, highlighting the fact that learning depends on us and knowledge is everywhere if we are determined to learn with an open mindset.

The management team of the training programme Mr. Gobinda Bhandari, Mr. Krishna Bahadur Thapa and Ms. Nabina Malekar congratulated the participants for completing the training programs.
