43rd Senior Executive Development Programme was inaugurated virtually on 15 Bhadra 2078 (31 August 2021) amidst the online presence of Executive Director - NASC Dr. Rajan Khanal, Secretary - Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) Mr. Eaknarayan Aryal, Deputy Executive Director - NASC Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Senior Director of Studies Mr. Ananda Raj Dhakal, Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel and Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel; Directors and NASC faculties.

Deputy Executive Director Mr. Lamsal welcomed the dignitaries and participants of the programme and provided a synopsis of the competency-based course and clarified on its significance for strengthening the leadership skills of the senior executives for developing a transformational leader. He highlighted on the five modules namely: Leadership, Integrity, Strategic Management, Governance and Policy Management and emphasized on the rigorous process adopted by the training programme, demanding active participation from the senior officials regardless of the challenges presented by Covid. He encouraged the participants to grab the opportunity for a fruitful learning and wished for successful completion of the training programme.
Secretary (MoFAGA), Mr. Eaknarayan Aryal stressed that SEDP is an effective knowledge exchange platform that would support in building competency and improving governance through active discussion on various problems, challenges and reforms. He shared his experiences and pointed on the criticality of the training programme for the current position of the Senior officials. He concluded by expressing his hopes for active participation from the Senior Executives throughout the training.
Executive Director Mr. Khanal pointed that SEDP is an effective platform for active participation for broadening the knowledge horizon of the Senior Executives. He emphasized on the various participatory methodologies which will be applied by NASC to deliver the desired objectives in a pragmatic manner. He concluded by encouraging the Senior Executives to think innovatively and transform themselves as competent change agents.
Director of Studies Mr. Binod Kumar Bista hosted the opening ceremony which was followed by the commencement of the sessions from the leadership module.
43rd Senior Executive Development Programme aims at enhancing core competencies of the Senior Executives to develop them as transformational leaders and integrity builders with strategic thinking and policy management skills required to strengthen governance system and improve public service delivery. The six-month extensive training programme will conclude on 2078 Falgun 18 (2 March 2022).
