The fourth virtual training program of Professional Course on Management and Development (PCMD) for the fiscal year 2078/79 started on 14 Shrawan 2078. The opening ceremony of the training program was attended by thirty class three officers who were nominated from various government and public agencies. In the opening ceremony, Senior Director of Studies and Department Head of Public Service Training Department (PSTD) Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal was present as chief guest of the program. Similarly, the Director of Studies and Chief of the Center for In-Service Training (CIST), Mr. Binod Kumar Bista was there to represent the CIST. The coordinators of the training program Mr. Gobinda Bhandary and Ms. Roshani Bhujel welcomed the trainee officers and started the formal program. Center chief, Mr. Binod Kumar Bista in his welcome briefing gave a brief introduction to the organizational structure of NASC as well as the course structure for PCMD. During his briefing, he highlighted the course objective to make the trainee officers performing managers, which stands on the foundation of integrity and manages resources and relationships, and delivers the expected results.
Following this, Senior Director Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal welcomed the participants and briefly highlighted the aim of this program. He mentioned that this program will help to enhance the efficiency and competency of trainee officers through various modules to create competency-based civil service. He moreover emphasized his expectation with the participants from the program so that the final effect of the training will be seen in the service delivery to the citizens. Lastly, he encouraged participants to utilize the opportunity to learn more knowledge, skill and to develop a positive attitude.
Then, Mr. Bikash Neupane from the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (PMEC) briefed about the marking mechanism of the training program and its various modules, and various rules to be followed by the participants during the training program.
Mr. Bipin Ojha from the Centre from Knowledge Management and IT (CKMIT) did technical orientation to the participants on google meet, google classroom, and document management system for interactive sessions and online assignment submissions. The program will conclude on Ashwin 11, 2078.
