On the occasion of the 44th Anniversary of the Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC), a special Parisambad was organized on the theme: Public Administration and Capacity Development: Experiences and Reflections.
The special session brought together two distinguished personalities who have made significant contributions to Nepal’s public administration and capacity development: Mr. Lilamani Paudel, Former Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, and Dr. Shankar Prasad Rajbhandari, Former Senior Director of Studies, NASC.
The Parisambad provided a valuable opportunity to listen to their experiences, reflections, and insights drawn from their long journeys in public service and capacity development. Their reflections also offered an opportunity for NASC colleagues to pause and look inward to reflect on our own institutional journey, the work we do, the lessons we have learned, and the direction we wish to take in the years ahead.
As NASC marks another year of its journey, the conversation reaffirmed the importance of experience, institutional memory, continuous learning, and reflection in strengthening public institutions and developing the capacities needed for effective public service.
