Orientation Program on Management and Development for newly appointed class II officers concluded on Monday

The closing ceremony of Orientation Program on Management and Development for newly appointed class II officers of government of Nepal was held in 2078/09/19 in Prithvi hall, NASC. The 5 days training commenced from 2078/09/12. 30 officers from administration, account and foreign-affairs service group graduated the training program. Mr. Chandika Poudel represented the training participants and shared his learning experiences and provided the feedback for improvement of the training. He expressed that the training has imparted various knowledge and skills on various subject areas of management and governance and committed to implement it in their professional life. He further expressed grievances on behalf of all participants that MOFAGA has published the notice of their job posting in an informal way.
The chief guest of the program was Minister of Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Honerable Rajendra Prasad Shrestha. Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Rajan Khanal, Senior Director of Studies, NASC and Department Head of Public Service Training Department (PSTD) Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel and Director of Studies, NASC and Centre Head of Centre for Induction Training were present in the closing program. Department Head Mr. Sigdel expected that the participants will apply the learned skill and knowledge from training in their respective workplace and wished them for their future endeavors. Hon. Minister Shrestha distributed the training certificate to the participants and delivered the speech. He clarified that the job posting is done as per the need of the Human resource in various government offices and expected that the officers will happily take over the responsibility in the new offices. He suggested participants to manage the conflict among different stakeholders and serve in the interest of the organization. He also expected officers to fulfill the responsibility of making corruption-free and transparent bureaucratic system in the country.
Finally, the chairman of the program Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Khanal delivered the closing remarks of the program. He mentioned that NASC has provided the forum of networking among participants which is itself the great interaction and learning platform for trainee officers. He remembered the quote from Zen philosophy "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear" during the speech. He also requested Hon. Minister to rethink the process of employee management which is one of the challenges in the federal structure of the country. He expressed that each actions taken by the officers will be a laboratory for the betterment of the motto of federal structure of the nation. He then congratulated all participants for the successful completion of the training program and wished them for their successful professional life ahead. The training management team of the program includes Dr. Shyan Kirat Rai, Ms. Shilu Pradhan, and Mr. Damodar Basyal.
