The 30-day induction training for Class III officers (Engineers) of Government of Nepal began on 25th Shrawan, 2083 in joint collaborations of Urban Infrastructure Technology Research and Training Center. The program opened with valuable reflections on public service, professional development, and the responsibilities that come with becoming a civil servant.
Dr. Shyan Kirat Rai, Director of Studies, Center Chief CIT highlighted that technical expertise alone is not sufficient in public service. Administrative knowledge and the ability to build professional networks are equally important, particularly in government organizations where effective coordination is essential.
Prakirna Tuladhar, Center chief, Urban Infrastructure Technology Research and Training Centre, welcomed the participants and formally addressed the opening ceremony, marking the beginning of the training journey.
Trilochan Pokhrel, Senior Director of Studies, PSTD Department Head, offered a deeper reflection on the transition into public service. He described it as a journey from an unstructured life to a structured one from being a private citizen, who is generally free to do anything that is not prohibited, to a legal citizen who is expected to do what the law and public responsibility require.
