Opening Ceremony of 5 days Training of Trainers (ToT) on Training Management and Facilitation Skills

Centre for Human Resource Management (CHRM) within the Management Learning Group (MLG) of the Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) has commenced a 5-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program on Training Management and Facilitation Skills in collaboration with Koshi Province Research and Training Academy (KPRTA) on 18th March 2024 at the Koshi Province Research and Training Academy premise, Kalwalguri, Jhapa. The program, tailored for officials from various public and private institutions, has been meticulously designed for officers who serve as trainers or are responsible for conducting and facilitating sessions within their workplace.
The Executive Director of Koshi Province Research and Training Academy, Mr. Bishnu Kumar Karki chaired the program. Similarly, Centre Chief of CHRM, Director of Studies Mr. Uttam Acharya was the chief guest of the program. Director of Studies Ms. Anita Poudel and Training and Research Officer Ms. Sebika Thapa were other team members representing NASC at the opening event.
Mr. Janardan Kattel from KPRTA, welcomed the participants while Mr. Acharya emphasized the necessity, design, context, and methods of learning for the course. He underlined NASC's dedication to improving the facilitation and training management abilities of internal trainers in a variety of institutions. He recognized that the chosen training sessions had a significant bearing on the participants' professional development in the context of the larger training cycle. He emphasized that the primary goal of the training is to ensure effective learning transfer.
Following Mr. Acharya's insights, Mr. Karki in his opening remarks highlighted the importance of Training of Trainers (ToT) for individuals aspiring to become competent trainers while recognizing the paramount importance of collaborative work on capacity development. He shared his hopes that participants would become proficient trainers and counselled facilitators to incorporate as many interactive and practicum sessions as feasible to further develop participants' competency. The Program was hosted by Ms. Sebika Thapa.
