Nepal Administrative Staff College organized a program to welcome newly appointed Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) Hon’ble Bhanubhakta Joshi on 2080 Chaitra 09. Mr. Joshi is also a Chairperson at NASC Governing Council. In the Welcome Ceremony, NASC Executive Director Dr. Rajan Khanal, Deputy Executive Director Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Senior Directors Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel and Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, Directors and other staff were present on the occasion.
In his welcome speech, Executive Director Dr. Khanal briefed about the major focus of NASC activities. Later on, Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel gave a presentation about NASC. In his presentation, Mr. Sigdel highlighted about the objectives of NASC establishment, structure and functions, major training programs, physical facilities and annual target and achievements.
As a gratefulness for warm welcome at NASC, Hon'ble Minister Mr. Joshi shared that he is always ready to support NASC and its programs and activities. He urged NASC faculties to keep on conducting research with especial focus on various issues of governance and service delivery of the country including reasons behind delayed in project performance, increased youth migration, and enlarged dissatisfactions among citizens. He also advised NASC faculties to explore how can a government design and deliver flawless services and share the findings and recommendations to the Government.
During NASC visit, Hon'ble Minister also had an observation of poster presentation by the officer trainees of ongoing 38th Basic Administration Training for the newly appointed officers of the Government. He also had an interaction about their analysis and propositions of reform in the service design and delivery of local governments.
