Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) organized a book launch event today (22 August 2025; 06 Bhadra 2082) for the book ‘नेपालको सङ्घीय शासन प्रणालीः आयाम र अभ्यास’ at its premises. The program was chaired by Mr. Ram Sharan Pudasaini, Executive Director, NASC. The chief guest of the program was the Right Honorable Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nepal, Mr. Devraj Ghimire. Honorable Ms. Bimala Rai Poudyal, Member of the National Assembly of the Federal Parliament of Nepal, Honorable Mr. Radhe Shyam Adhikari, Member of the Constitutional Assembly; and Honorable Mr. Ganga Dutta Awasthi, Member, National Planning Commission were the special guests at the event. With over 70 participants, the program witnessed the presence of several civil and public service officials, including former Executive Directors and Deputy Executive Directors of NASC, practitioners, academicians, and media persons. The program was anchored by Ms. Achala Dahal, Director of Studies, NASC.
Following the program, Hon’ble Poudyal remarked as the book reviewer and shared her in-depth insights and critical remarks on all the 14 articles and 2 interviews. Continuing the reviewer’s remarks, Hon’ble Adhikari highlighted two features of the book: (i) the editors have provided summaries of each chapter, and (ii) they have included notes for the ease of readers. Meanwhile, he raised a few fundamental questions to be included in future series.
Following the book launch program, Hon’ble Awasthi also provided his remarks and good wishes. The chief guest of the program Right Hon’ble Dev Raj Ghimire provided valuable speech appreciated NASC's efforts in continuing research work and publishing academic papers where he stressed that such books should be published more frequently. He endorsed the critical remarks of the previous speakers on making the next series more practical and solution oriented. He concluded his speech by stressing that such publications should not be limited to academia but should also serve as guides and reference materials for policymakers and practitioners. At the end, Mr. Ram Sharan Pudasaini, Executive Director of NASC, expressed his sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, authors, participants, and media representatives for their presence and committed to further enhancing the quality of such works in the future.
