The closing ceremony of the 4-day Training Programme on Procurement of Goods and Contract Management, organized for officers of various government and public institutions, was held on 24 Shrawan 2081. The training commenced on 21 Shrawan 2081.
The event was chaired by the Executive Director, Dr. Rajan Khanal. The Department Head of GDMLG, Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, and the Center Chief of the Center for Procurement Management, Mr. Sundar Shrestha, were also present at the ceremony. Thirty-one officers from 16 different institutions successfully completed the training program.
On behalf of the entire group, Mr. Gobinda Prasad Adhikari shared the experiences during the training period at NASC. The GDMLG Department Head, Mr. Sigdel, discussed the importance of the training and the expected changes in the participants' job performance. Executive Director congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the training, and in his closing remarks he highlighted that the 4-day training was not enough for such a challenging topic like procurement. He emphasized the need for continued participation in such trainings to discuss challenging issues, build a network to share ideas, and find solutions. The Executive Director also stressed that for officials engaged in procurement, studying and staying updated is crucial.
