The five days Leadership Development Programme for the newly appointed Joint Secretary of Government of Nepal concluded on Chaitra 25, 2078. Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Rajan Khanal, chaired the closing session. Department Head of the Public Service Training Department, Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel was present in the session. Center Chief of Center for Induction Training, Mr. Trilochan Poudel hosted the ceremony.
The host of the session, Mr. Poudel highlighted the rationality of the training. Representing the participants, Mr. Gobinda Khanal shared his learning experience. He expresses his gratitude to NASC team for conducting training on such a short notice period. He also said that besides the learning platform, the training was also fruitful because of networking and connection among the participants. He applauded the case-based sessions on policy management and suggested bringing cases to other sessions too.
From the PSTD department, Department Head Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel congratulated participants one more time for their promotion and successful completion of the training program. He shared that from now onwards participants have to deal with structural and functional issues in the organization and this is where the participants need to show their impact. He further added that he is hopeful that things that they have learned and experienced in the training will contribute to their impactful journey.
Following his speech, participants were awarded a training completion certificate by Dr. Rajan Khanal, Executive Director of NASC. In his closing remarks, Dr. Khanal critically shared his experience with positional power. He suggested participants stay aware of the greed for power for better performance at work. He added about our initiation on a field visit Policy Research Institute to observe and learn about best practices from the public and private sectors. Finally, he wished them a successful tenure ahead in the new role and announced the formal closing of the program. The 5 day LDP programme was coordinated by Ms. Chandni Kayastha and Mr. Damodar Bashyal.
