The closing ceremony was held on 15 Falgun, 2079 in the presence of the dignitaries: Dr. Rajan Khanal- Executive Director, Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel – Departmental Head of Public Service Training Department (PSTD) and Mr. Binod Kumar Bista – Centre Chief of Center for In-service Training (CIsT). Ms. Gyan Laxmi Shrestha hosted the program and she welcomed all the dignitaries and participants. Dipa Bhattarai was invited on behalf of the trainee officers to put forward their overall experience of the training. She expressed her gratitude towards the organization for organizing such an insightful training program and added that the group as such was heterogeneous in terms of age, experience, and educational background. The heterogeneity in itself created opportunities for trainee officers to gain diverse knowledge and the blend of different modules helped to exploit those learning. Ms. Bhattarai appreciated that the logistical arrangement, modular arrangement, selection of resource persons, and field selection were up to the mark and impressive. She also provided a few areas for improvement which included canteen services, an extension of spirituality sessions, and inviting external resource persons for practical sessions like procurement, hygiene management in the restrooms, etc.

Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel-Department Head encouraged participants to provide their feedback and promised that the valuable suggestions will be incorporated into the other upcoming programs. He highlighted that the driver of change is collaboration and coordination so along with the driver of change, team mobilization is crucial this training provides the cross-learning platform for the change initiators like the participants.

Dr. Rajan Khanal-Executive Director distributed the certificates to all 26 participants and congratulated them for their successful completion of the training program with the first division. He motivated the participants to inculcate the learnings into their work and added that the real challenges started from the graduation program. He further added that training enhances knowledge but it doesn’t lead to success until it gets converted into skills and transferred to a positive attitude. He also wished the participants for their better future endeavors and encouraged them to portray their achievement of the first division in their practical work also.

Ms. Rekha Lamichhane Wagle secured the first position among all the participants of PMCD 9.
This training program was coordinated by Ms. Gyan Laxmi Shrestha and Ms. Pratibha Dhungana.
