The seven days' Orientation Programme on Management and Development for the newly appointed class II officers (under secretary) of Government of Nepal concluded on Ashad 28, 2079. Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Rajan Khanal, chaired the closing session. The secretary at the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) Mr. Suresh Adhikari was invited as the chief guest for the closing ceremony. Department head of the Public Service Training Department, Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, centre head of Centre of Induction Training, Mr. Trilochan Poudyal were present as dignitaries in the ceremony. Mr. Anil Kumar Gupta hosted the event.
On behalf of all the participants, Ms. Sita Acharya Risal shared her learning experience and also provided significant constructive feedbacks. She mentioned that the overall training programme was fruitful as it covered many aspects of work environment—from leadership to public policy and development planning. She also suggested to add more case-based sessions to enhance pragmatic learning. She finally expressed her gratitude to NASC for well managed training programme.
Department head Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel congratulated all the participants for the successful completion of the training program. He also thanked the participants for their constructive suggestions and feedbacks of the overall training programme. Mr. Sigdel reiterated that the training programme is intended to build the general core competencies of all the participants irrespective of their service group and emphasized that the training programme is designed on three major themes: leadership in action, public policy and governance and delivering development results.
After the speech of department head, participants were awarded training completion certificate by Dr. Rajan Khanal, Executive Director of NASC. In his closing remarks, Dr. Khanal shared the importance of systematic decision making in their upcoming job position. He requested the participants to be well informed and updated while making decisions at workplace to ensure legal compliance. He also motivated the participants to be a learner, an innovator and a change maker. Finally, Dr. Khanal wished all the participants a successful tenure ahead in the new role and announced the formal closing of the program.
