The closing and certification ceremony of the B2 course (procurement of works and consulting services) was held on 8th July 2022, at NASC.
The closing and certification ceremony was chaired by Deputy Executive Director, NASC, Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal. The program manager of Sustainable Development Programme, ITCILO, Mr.Guillaume Mercier; Director of Studies and Program lead of Capacity Development and Professionalization (CDP) from NASC, Dr. Raghu Bista, and National Procurement Consultant from ITCILO/ CDP, Mr. Ashok Kumar Jha were present in the event along with other NASC officials.
During the program, Mr. Mercier from ITCILO highlighted the need for public procurement, contract management, and design of the B2 course. He thanked NASC, PPMO, and Nepal Government for the valuable support provided for the execution of the project despite difficulties and the pandemic and congratulated all participants who were trained from CDP projects for their capacity building. Mr. Himal Adhikari and Mr. Ashok Raj Gautam represented training participants from each group to share learning experiences and provided valuable feedback for the improvement of this program.
After the sharing by the guest and the participants, the certificate distribution was held which was conducted by Deputy Executive Director of NASC, Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal to all 51 graduating participants from both groups. The event was followed by the closing remarks from Deputy Executive Director of NASC, Mr. Lamsal where he congratulated all participants and shared objectives of training to build knowledge, skills, and confidence for better performance at work. He also thanked all the resource persons, coordinators, participants, different organizations who sent nominations for participation, ITCILO, PPMO, and the world bank for the successful completion of the CDP project where more than a thousand participants were successfully trained in B1, B2, B3 and B4 Courses.
Mr. Anil Kumar Gupta and Mr. Bikalpa Pokharel were the group coordinators for Janaki Group (Batch 24) while Ms. Gyan Laxmi Shrestha and Ms. Nabina Malekar were the group coordinators for Karnali Group (Batch 25). The closing ceremony was hosted by Ms. Gyan Laxmi Shrestha.
