The five days training on Professional Social Safeguards under Capacity Development Resource Center started on 18 July 2022 at Hotel Landmark, Pokhara. The opening ceremony of the training program was attended by thirty-two participants from different ADB assisted projects. The event was chaired by CDRC Director Mr. Binod Kumar Bista. The TA Team Leader Dr. Surya Prakash Shrestha, Senior Social Development Officer of ADB Mr. Laxmi Prasad Subedi, CDRC Social Safeguards Specialist Mr. Bam Bahadur Thapa and Finance Official of CDRC, Mr. Govinda Maharjan were present at the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Mr. Shiva Hari Adhikari, Team Coordinator of CDRC. In the opening ceremony, Mr. Adhikari congratulated all the nominated participants of the training. He briefly explained about the activities being conducted by CDRC. CDRC Director Mr. Bista welcomed all the participants and explained about the importance of the training event. He asked all the participants to be participative and believed that the training will be an event to share the experiences with peers and learn from resource persons.
