Efforts Made by Local Level to Manage COVID-19 Situation

In Nepal, it was in January 2020 when the first case of COVID-19 was recorded. Since then, Government of Nepal has taken various measures to control and contain the situation. To save human lives, it was imperative to take any necessary actions and utilize all resources at their disposal. Local level authorities were the first contact of the citizen. Confined to small geographical territory, local level played critical roles at such grave situation to save as many as human lives. 

The study is undertaken with the objective to o assess the efforts made by local level authority to manage COVID-19 situation. The study uses the secondary data which has largely depend on the Local and Provincial Government Survey (LPGS) data that Yale Economic Growth Centre, London School of Economics, Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) and, Governance Lab have conducted in three rounds.
