
A three-day training program on the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) commenced today organized organized for DoR engineers, planners, project managers, and safeguard officers by the Center for Climate Change, a thematic center under the Governance and Development Management Learning Group (GDMLG).
The opening ceremony was chaired by the Department Head, GDMLG, Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, in the presence of dignitaries from the Department of Roads and the World Bank.
Senior Divisional Engineer Mr. Abhyamanyu Das Mulmi welcomed the participants, followed by Mr. Janak Raj Pathak, Senior Environment Expert at the World Bank, who shared the objectives of the program. Ms. Gloria Malia Mahama, Senior Social Specialist, delivered special remarks and emphasized the importance of the training.
In his closing note, Mr. Sigdel welcomed all training participants and officially inaugurated the 3-day training program.
