Training of Trainers under CDP starts…

The two batches of Training of Trainers under Capacity Development and Professionalization (CDP) started on July 5, 2022, for 4 working days. The opening ceremony of the training program was attended by trainers who were selected after the initial presentation and interview taken in the presence of representatives from ITCILO on July 4, 2022.
The event was chaired by the Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Rajan Khanal. The Senior Director of Studies, NASC, and Department Head of Governance, and Management Learning Group (GDMLG) Mr. Trilochan Pokharel, the representative from world bank Mr.Haider Raza, and Mr. Shambhu Prasad Upreti, ITCILO Consultant Mr. Ashok Kumar Jha, the representatives/ facilitators from ITCILO  Mr. Guillaume Mercier, Ms.Claudia Oehl, Mr.Youseef Saad, and Mr. MD Wassim Jabber, Dr. Raghu Bista, Director of Studies. NASC and the Program lead of Capacity Development and Professionalization (CDP)were present at the opening ceremony organized in Khaptad Hall with other NASC officials. 
In the opening ceremony, Senior Director of Studies, Mr. Pokharel congratulated and welcomed all the participants and representatives from ILOITC and World Bank and highlighted the importance of the training related to public procurement. Guillaume from ITCILO thanked all the stakeholders who are supporting the project and shared the structure and structure of the Training of Trainers program Mr. Raza from the world bank also welcomed all the participants and encouraged all the participants to learn procurement courses as a passion. Mr.Upreti from the world bank highlighted the objectives of the CDP project to provide professional training to Nepalese participants in collaboration with NASC, ITCILO, PPMO, and the Nepal Government. Executive Director of NASC, Dr. Khanal welcomed the participants of the program and explained the importance of training and why TOT on procurement is needed. He also believed that this training would be the platform to share the international practices with all procurement experts of Nepal and enhance procurement knowledge in trainers and experts of Nepal.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Ms. Roshani Bhujel, Training and Research Officer, NASC.
The course is structured on 4 working-day agenda, till June 8, 2022.
