
The Training Programme on Financial Management for Account Officers of Nepal Agriculture Research Institute (NARI) commenced physically in the Koshi Training Hall at the NASC premises from Mangsir 23, 2078. The training programme consists of twenty participants, comprising of Senior Account Officers and Account Officers of NARI.
In the opening ceremony, Senior Director of Studies and Department Head of Management Learning Group Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel was present as chief guest of the programme. Similarly, Director of Studies as well as Centre Chief of Centre for Financial Management Mr. Sundar Shrestha was also present at the opening ceremony along with NASC officials. The coordinators of the programme Mr. Gobinda Bhandari, Mr. Krishna Bahadur Thapa and Ms. Nabina Malekar welcomed the participants and started the formal program.
Director of Studies Mr. Sundar Shrestha welcomed the participants and briefed them about the training programme and the course where he emphasized about the course objective to make trainees a performing manager by providing them updated and in-depth knowledge about financial management to upgrade their accounting and financial skills for the improvement of their professional competency. Then, Senior Director of Studies Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel emphasized the importance of financial management in an organization by an analogy that finance is the lifeblood of an organization. Mr. Sigdel also stressed the vital role of financial management training for the capacity building of accounting and finance practitioners. Finally, Mr. Sigdel put forward his concluding remarks by wishing all the participants to make the best use of this enriching learning opportunity by sharing problems and difficulties faced during financial management practice at the workplace so that the training programme can help them overcome those issues.
The programme will conclude on Poush 02, 2078.
