TOT for the Officials of Ministry of Finance, Financial Comptroller General Office and Office of the Auditor General kicks off from 14 Falgun 2079

Training of Trainers (TOT) for the Officials of Ministry of Finance Financial Comptroller General Office and Office of the Auditor General has commenced from 14 Falgun 2079 (26 February, 2023) in Public Finance Management Training Center (PFMTC), Harihar Bhawan, Pulchowk, Lalitpur. This five-day training program was jointly organized by Nepal Administrative Staff College (NASC) and PFMTC. This program was designed and conducted by Centre for Human Resource Management (CHRM) for the class II and III officers of the Ministry of Finance including PFMTC, Financial Comptroller General Office and Office of the General Auditor. There were a TOTal of 21 participants in the program in which 5 were female and 16 were male. In the opening event, the dignitaries present were Mr. Uttam Acharya, Centre Chief of CHRM - NASC, Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire, Secretary - Revenue, Ministry of Finance as the Chief guest and Mr. Ram Prasad Acharya, Training Chief of PFMTC as the chairperson of the event. Mr. Anup Bhurtel was present in the program as one of the Coordinators of the program. The program was anchored by Ms. Kamala Kharel, Senior Instructor (Revenue), PFMTC. 
The program formally began at 10 am in which Ms Kharel requested the dignitaries to take their seats and played the national anthem. After that, she requested Mr. Uttam Acharya to brief about the program. Mr. Acharya began by highlighting on NASC's expanding role in TOT in various parts of the country and area linking to its growing roles. He then briefed on the components of training, specifically its design and contents starting from adult learning strategies to practicum. He also requested to maintain discipline such as respect to time. With the good wishes that the 5-day training will be fruitful, he ended his brief speech. Ms. Kharel then requested the chief guest of the program, Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire to inaugurate the program and share his opening remarks. After inauguration, Dr Ghimire shared trainer’s various roles, including that as the psychologist. Sharing his long term interest in such and training and education, he commented on all the topics as significant to be a trainer. He also shared that such TOT would be important for post-retirement period to keep oneself actively involved. He added that TOT is a distinct training, different from others and wished this event to be fruitful and ended his speech. Ms. Kharel then requested the chairperson of the program Mr. Ram Prasad Acharya to give his opening remarks and conclude the event. Mr. Acharya briefed about NASC's role, coordination with NASC and signified this training for the trainers of public financial management. He appreciated the presence of all the participants and shared that he would be keen to observe the program and learn from it. With the positive note that the training would fulfil its objectives, he announced the closure of the opening event.
