The 76th edition of NASC Discussion Series was organized by Center for Research and Development on 18th Chaitra, 2079 on the topic “Prospects of Civil Service in Nepal”. Mr. Bhojraj Pokharel was the speaker in the series. Mr. Pokharel is former Chief Election Commissioner of Nepal (2006-2009) during which he played a key role in integrating the Maoist rebels into democratic electoral processes and was one of the key architects to make Nepal’s elected bodies most inclusive and representative. He has also served government of Nepal at various capacities at various ministries including secretary at the Home Ministry. He also chaired various state/non state enterprises including Nepal Telcom, Oil Corporation, Standard Chartered bank, Nepal, etc. Mr. Bishnu Prasad Lamsal, Deputy Executive Director of NASC moderated the event. The event was attended by Basic Administration Training (BAT) participants from three groups and other faculties of NASC.
