Leadership Excellence Programme for Women Managers

The fifth series of Leadership Excellence Programme for Women Managers commenced today (Chaitra 24, 2079) at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort with a formal opening ceremony chaired by Senior Director of Studies, Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel. Director of Studies Mr. Binod Kumar Bista and Team Member from Centre for Organisation Development, Ms. Chandni Kayastha were also present in the ceremony. The opening ceremony was started with the detailed course briefing where Mr. Bista highlighted the role of Nepal Administrative Staff College in the capacity building of civil and public service. He mentioned that this 2 nights and 3 days residential programme was designed to address the demanding role of women in leadership in both public and private sector. He further added that making it exclusive for women will open the platform to address the specific needs and issues of this cohort and the residential approach will help the participants to internalize those issues and needs. Finally, Mr. Basanta Raj Sigdel in his concluding remarks mentioned that the training focused on enhancing the leadership skills of women managers by reframing the role of leadership and also through managing self and relationships. He encouraged participants to be as much participative as possible for the successful completion of the programme and gave his best wishes to all the participants.
