
The graduation and closing ceremony of 50th Senior Executive Development Program was conducted on Magh 21, 2082 at Kastamandap Hall, Sampada Sadan. The program was chaired by Executive Director of NASC, Mr. Ram Sharan Pudasaini. The chief guest of the program was the chief secretary of Government of Nepal, Mr. Suman Raj Aryal. The secretary of MoFAGA, Ms. Chandra Kala Paudel was the special guest of the program.
Mr. Prem Prasad Bhattarai presented the reflection of the six months training program on behalf of the participants. He commended NASC for its well-designed curriculum and effective training management, and also offered suggestions for improving the curricula by addition of contemporary topics. He emphasized the need for continuous learning and unlearning to stay relevant and effective, noting that such programs are crucial for the development of Nepal. The peer to peer bonding and learning they developed during the training program was appreciable. He thanked NASC for organizing such a meaningful program as well as suggested to think for providing the training at the earlier stage of the professional life. He also appreciated the international exposure visit to China that further supported the learning and bonding between the participants. He also requested provisional arrangement for the participants who were absent in module presentation due to their unavoidable official engagement.
Then Department Chief of Public Service Training Department, Mr. Trilochan Pokharel reflected on the journey of the participants and provided an overview of the programme and its key outcomes He highlighted the initial challenges participants faced in adapting to the program and completing assignments, which later transformed into a smooth and engaging learning journey. He also emphasized that the participants were engaged in the development of the strategic plan and policies. At the end he informed that the participants were now equipped with the required knowledge to foster and use in their work for better service delivery. Then the guest of the program Ms. Paudel congratulated the participants and suggested to reflect the learning in their workplace so that it will generate the required outcome for the government.
Then the strategic documents and policy documents prepared by the participants were handed to the chief secretary by the ED of NASC. Then the certification ceremony was held where the participants received their certificates from respected Chief secretary Mr. Aryal. Then on his remarks Mr. Aryal congratulated and informed the participants that they are now ready towards the journey of Secretary in Government of Nepal. He also addressed the challenges of managing civil service personnel and underscored the importance of all government agencies, stressing that each institution is essential and that employees must fulfill their responsibilities diligently in their designated roles. He requested for the better act from this group of leadership to create an environment of prosperous Nepal through accountable and reliable administration. He also made the participants aware on what the public is really expecting from the bureaucracy and why there is lack of motivation is fulfilling their responsibility. He congratulated the participants and requested the participants to convert their knowledge into attitude as a leader to bring reform in the public service. He emphasized on the collective effort from every one towards joint reform of the bureaucracy. A total of 22 participants graduated the training program including Ms. Archana Shrestha from SEDP 49.
The program concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Ram Sharan Pudasaini. He extended his congratulations to the graduates and wished them continued success in their future endeavors and requested the participants to keep working with good faith and responsibly. The graduation ceremony was hosted by chief of Center for Induction Training Dr. Raghu Bista.
