Commencement of Leadership Management Program (LDP) for the newly appointed Class-I Officers of the Government of Nepal. 

A five days Leadership Development Program (LDP) for the newly appointed Class-I Officers of  Government of Nepal has commenced from 2nd Falgun 2079 – 8th Falgun 2079 at Kailash Hall of Sampada Sadan. There are total number of 23 participants from various services of Government of Nepal (GoN). 
The opening ceremony of the program was chaired by Dr. Rajan Khanal, Executive Director of the Nepal Administrative Staff College. Moreover, the opening event has the presence of the other dignitaries: Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel – Departmental Head of Public Service Training Department (PSTD) and Mr. Trilochan Poudyal – Centre Chief of Centre for Induction Training (CIT). Mr. Trilochan Poudyal hosted the event in which he welcomed the dignitaries and greeted the participants. 
Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel very briefly put his opening remarks where he congratulated and welcomed all the participants to NASC. He highlighted on the aspects of five days program schedule with more focused on leadership roles in policymaking and its implementation.  Moreover, he reminded the participants to take this program as a platform to learn from each other as a learning laboratory where all the participants are very well experienced in their respective sectors. 
Following the opening remarks of Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel, there was the introduction session from all the participants including the program management team of NASC. After the introduction session, Mr. Poudyal requested to Dr. Rajan Khanal to put forward his remarks. Dr. Khanal firstly congratulated and welcomed all the participants to the program. During his remarks, Dr. Khanal very briefly explained about the aspects of Governance and its issues in Nepal. He mainly stressed on the policies of Nepal- though there are many good policies in Nepal but lacked in terms of its effective implementation. In this regard, Dr. Khanal requested all the participants to work without being influenced by any external forces and meet the expectation of the public. Dr. Khanal pointed out that there are many bottleneck in the structure of the bureaucracy and asked participants in the frame of Realization to bring the people together. Furthermore, he also highlighted on the program design where he stated that the visit to the Policy Research Institute (PRI) on being fruitful in terms of analyzing the policy implementation from very near. The program management team for this program consists of Mr. Trilochan Poudyal, Dr. Shyan Kirat Rai and Ms. Roshani Bhujel.
