The opening ceremony of the Professional Course on Management and Development for the 4th batch was held today (19 Shrawan, 2079). This 30 working days PCMD training is designed for the class III officers of the Government of Nepal. The opening ceremony was chaired by the Department Head of the Public Service Training Department, Mr. Tulasi Sharan Sigdel. Centre Head of In-Service training, Mr. Binod Kumar Bista was also present in the program. Nabina Malekar, the coordinator of the training hosted the opening ceremony and welcomed the dignitaries and the participants.
Director of Studies, Mr. Bista highlighted the 4 core competencies of civil service: result, service delivery, relationship, and integrity. He mentioned that this training is designed on the basis of these core competencies. He further added that this training will not only provide a learning environment but will also create a networking platform for participants. He wished all the participants to have wonderful learning sessions ahead.
After the brief overview of the course content by Mr. Bista, Senior Director of Studies, Mr. Sigdel welcomed all the participants. In his closing remarks, he encouraged the participants to be interactive and participative. He ensured the participants that their experiences, their voices, and their queries will be well addressed by NASC in upcoming training sessions. The opening ceremony was concluded with his closing speech.
