
On 22 December 2021, B2 Course (Procurement of works and consultancy services) Training for 9th Batch completed where 28 officers from various public institutions graduated. The 11 working days training program was organized at the Nepal Administrative Staff College, Jawalakhel in the support of the World Bank, International Training Center (ITC), and Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) of the Nepal Government.
The event was chaired by the Senior Director of Studies, NASC and Department Head of Governance, and Management Learning Group (GDMLG) Mr. Trilochan Pokharel. Mr. Shambhu Prasad Uprety, Procurement Expert from World Bank, Mr. Ashok Jha, ITC/ILO Consultant, Dr. Raghu Bista, Director of Studies. NASC and the Program lead of Capacity Development and Professionalization (CDP) were present in the closing ceremony organized at Lumbini Hall with other NASC officials.
Mr. Ram Prasad Aryal, represented the training participants to share learning experiences and provided valuable feedback for the improvement of this program. Mr. Uprety shared the need for training on procurement to public officials, the role of the World Bank in his speech and congratulated the graduating officials. Similarly, The Chair of Program Mr. Pokharel congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the training. He also shared about post training-role of NASC and advised officers that the resource persons involved in training are always open to assist you in case of any difficulty and confusion and also PPMO office is standing by for further support to make the public procurement more transparent, competitive, dependable, and basis of development of the nation.
The management and coordination team for B2 Course Dr. Raghu Bista, Mr. Shailendra Prasad Bhatt, and Mr. Ashutosh Neupane, congratulated the participants for completing the training program.
